Whickr has until now been a marketplace with a sole focus on helping equestrians advertising horses for sale and ponies for sale. After listening to customer feedback, we’ve made the decision to broaden the options for advertising to other complimentary categories in the equestrian community.
The additional advertising categories that have been added are; Equestrian Properties, Horse Tack, Horseboxes and Trailers, Freelancers, Jobs, Business Services, Stallions at Stud, and Cats and Dogs.
Horse Tack
Facebook has been a very popular platform for advertising tack, brand new and second hand. However, recently it has also become a hive of activity for fraudulent behavior. That is why we have introduced horse tack as a category where equestrians can buy and sell tack brand new or secondhand on a platform specifically designed for this type of activity, and away from the fraudsters on Facebook.
Horseboxes and Trailers for Sale
An essential item to help get your horse from a to b during the busy competition season. Horseboxes and trailers for sale are now available to browse on Whickr. We have a wide selection of horseboxes and trailers for sale advertised on our platform, from trailers to HGV horseboxes suitable for traveling around Europe.
Equestrian Properties
Equestrian properties for sale in the UK and further afield are now available to advertise and browse on Whickr. Whether you’re looking to buy your first equestrian property with a handful of stables and a few acres or a professional looking for an equestrian property for sale, check out equestrian properties for sale on Whickr.

With thousands of equestrians each week looking to buy horses advertised for sale on our platform, now we have space for those equestrian freelancers who help owners of horses to advertise on our platform. Finding suitable employees with the right skills and experience in the equestrian market can be challenging. No farm is complete without an organic and sustainable rat catcher. Cats and dogs for sale are also now available to browse on Whickr.
How do I advertise using the new categories?
To advertise using the new categories, it is the same experience as when equestrians are advertising horses for sale; create an account, verify your email and visit the Create Advert page on Whickr. On the Create Advert page in the top field labeled Category and auto-populated with Horse, to the right is a dropdown which provides the advertiser with the option of advertising in the other categories we have available.
Can I use the Feature, Social Media and Boost Add-Ons?
We are expecting add-ons to help increase visibility and make your adverts stand out from the crowd to be available shortly. That includes our Feature add-on which pins your advert to the top of the category for seven days and highlighted in a golden yellow to make sure it cannot be missed; Social Media add-ons ensuring your advert features across Whickr’s very popular Instagram, Facebook and TikTok channels; lastly our Boost add-on used when you feel your advert is dropping too low down the list and want it to feature back at the top by boosting it back up there.
