- Considering selling Vinnie, 138cm, 4 year old, gelding. Breeding unknown, welsh/Connie/ newforest type. Broken last year and had on and off work for the last few months (doesn’t change if hasn’t been ridden in a while) Has had a walk, trot, canter and popped a jump under saddle. Dun and white with beautiful markings. Currently sold from the field due to not having facilities or time since moving back home. Was last ridden in early August. Good points: -Very talented pony, jumps for fun, and has the scope to go far! -bold, has popped logs out in the field in hand. Walked over teeter bridges and through flapping flags, been through water and popped a water tray etc. -Intelligent, loves trick training and picks things up very quickly. -Stands for the farrier/vet/dentist -Easy keeper, can be stabled or live out 24/7, currently barefoot. -Has been ridden bitless with a novice -can be a push button pony (read bad points) -clean bill of health (open to vettings) -does not kick, buck, rear. Not a malicious bone in his body. -loads and travels well -turns out alone and with others Bad points: -he can be spooky and nervous, and can bolt if over his threshold. Some days he will be push button, others he can be spooky and anxious (eg if it’s windy or there’s a lot going on), he’s only a baby and with patience and consistency he will overcome this and his confidence will grow. So for this reason absolutely no novices and no one in experienced. -he’s cautious of new people and takes time to create a bond. He’ll make someone a cracking pony with the potential to go far in the right hands! But he needs someone patient who is willing to put the time in to create a bond with him to gain his trust.
