- Shenavalls Ghost - 17hh 8 year old ID (King Alton) Gelding.
Despite him focusing on hacking in the recent years, Bruce is very enjoyable to school. He has lovely flowing paces, and is responsive to the leg without being sharp. With further mileage he would do a lovely test or equally be a quality heavyweight hunter.
I believe there are manual & automatic horses, Bruce would be an automatic. As long as you’re pointing in the general direction of a fence (both showjumping & xc) he will take you there. He has fantastic manners and remains very adjustable. He does not rush nor get strong to a fence, making him perfect for the days you have had far too much gin out hunting!
I purchased Bruce from an older rider who was relocating to France. She found he could be spooky and needed a firm rider when hacking alone. Despite this Bruce has behaved like the perfect gentleman for ourselves when hacking. Unfazed by open spaces, killer plastic bags and d*ckhead BMW drivers! But, I will not sell him to a novice rider. He’s a horse that enjoys a job and I would love to see him thrive in a riding club or hunting home.
