- Hayestown Castanas Gold Bay mare 16hh born 2009 (16 yrs old) Registered Irish Draught Sire - Castana ID Class1 Dam - Erne Hill Pride RID Cassie is a Beautiful example of traditional Irish Draught breeding with loads of bone. She has been a very easy and Prolific brood mare having had 8 lovely foals, among them being the extremely quiet natured Irish Draught stallion Hayestown Blue Castana who has passed on her wonderful temperament to well over 20 foals bred by him at the stud, and 2 at Underhill. She is deliberately having a break from breeding and is remembering her old skills being ridden around the farm here, having come back under saddle with ease after all these years. We are now looking for a more pampered lifestyle for her, the home is very important, and she would enjoy a place where she could hack alone or in company and do the odd fun ride for a doting owner who needs a horse they can just ride when they feel like it, and spend enjoyable time with on the ground. She is sound in wind and limb. The lucky person could also have the added advantage of breeding another foal from her should they wish. This teenage mare of low mileage is a real GEM just waiting for the right person to come along to give her the TLC she deserves. She is easy to catch, groom, ride, load, travel etc. She has good hard black feet, has never been shod and would happily go barefoot, and though she has done very little roadwork, she is used to heavy farm/ industrial traffic.
