- CHESTER Striking 2020 Chesnut Irish thoroughbred gelding standing at 16hh. This lovely boy is perfect for someone looking for a nice safe horse on a budget. Despite his age, Chester is really safe, he’s a kind horse and wants to take care of his rider. Hacking wise, he could go and do a happy hacking job immediately, he is very much used to hacking out and enjoys it, he is sensible in open spaces, and in a group, and when alone, super in heavy traffic, and busy roads. Chester will walk trot canter in the arena, he doesn’t work in an outline and he would need more schooling to improve, he does strike off on the correct lead and is very safe. He has jumped small coloured fences and is very willing. He is a project, but he is safe, easy and straightforward, at a bargain price.
