Description
Max was bought and broken this spring. He has been an extremely easy pony to do on my own. I haven't yet found anything to phase him. If something spooks him, including heavy traffic his reaction is to stop rather than run. He feels incredibly safe. I have given him lots of interest in his training so far so he has already been to the beach, been on fun rides and has xc schooled. When hacking he is happy for company to canter off without him and will also go ahead to leave company, He is fine with livestock and dogs. He is already showing enthusiasm for his jumping but so far this has predominantly been xc fences. He shows no concern for coloured poles and fillers and walked all over the water tray when shown it for the first time rather than jump it. Max will always be happy to hack out at any speed behind company with anyone on his back but until he is sold I will continue to encourage him to be an independent pony club pony. Showing is not my area of interest but he gets glowing comments wherever he goes, his conformation is excellent and he has straight, good bone, no blemishes, so working hunters or mountain and moorlands would be well worth looking into. Max was bought for me to produce as my daughters next pony but she is not going to be ready to move off her current pony for at least another year and I don't have the time to keep him going until she is ready. I am in no rush to sell Max because he is so easy to keep, I can leave him alone while we ride the ponies, he lives out with a mare and gelding, he loads into anything, he has no vices. My 6 year old does everything with him on the ground, he is steady and kind. He really is an old head on very young shoulders. He has excellent feet and is negative for hoof wall separation, he is barefoot behind. I will be looking for a very kind, patient home to appreciate the gentle qualities of this beautiful boy and give him the time to develop as he should.
