Description: We are selling our much-loved 12.3hh piebald gelding, a stunning pony with two blue eyes. At 10 years old, he is amazing on the ground, adores being brushed, fussed over, and absolutely loves a good tickle. He will stand for hours to be tickled and scratched on his back. He is a real character and loves being with you, always friendly, inquisitive and keen to interact. While he is a joy to handle, he does need a confident rider to help bring him on as he takes his confidence from the rider. He can be nervous around men at times, but we have been working on this and have seen improvement. He is also nervous with the farrier—it's out of fear, not naughtiness—but regular appointments have helped him get better. He just needs someone with the time and patience to help him overcome these fears completely. Sadly, he isn’t a suitable match for our novice daughter, which is why we are looking for a new home for him. Whilst we have had Ben, we have had weekly lessons and done some light hacking. With previous owners he has done more and he can jump too. We have recently had him schooled and they have done some ground work with him, trotting poles and a small round of jumps. He has no health issues, is barefoot, and with the right, experienced rider, he has great potential.
