- Radish (Bella Contessa) is a 16.1 10 year quiet, pretty mare with a sweet personality that makes you smile. She is an unraced Tb with excellent bloodlines. Grand Sire: Cadeaux Genereux, Sire: Major Cadeaux. Dam Sire: Tobougg. Radish and I have been together 4 years; I am 56 years old and she has been ridden mainly by myself during this time, with friends and family having a go now and then. We’ve done lots of fun stuff together. Jumping, hacking, schooling, pole clinics, pleasure rides etc. Radish loves to jump! - both coloured and rustic fences. She hacks out alone and in company, first or last, in the heaviest of traffic and is unfazed by tractors and agricultural machinery. Happy to go a short distance and return home or a longer circular route – a couple of hours. She’ll unload and ride from the trailer for rural rides. I have done lots of fun groundwork with her flags, plastic bags, umbrellas, tarpaulins etc. She takes it all in her stride. We are regularly out and about in the trailer for arena hires, lessons, clinics etc. She was brilliant to take to the gallops. Radish is up-to-date and well-behaved for the farrier, vet- vaccines and equine dentist. She loves to be pampered and will happily stand for hours to be brushed, bathed or clipped. Since the Autumn, we have been hacking out a few times a week whilst I focus on my young Lipizzaner. Finding the time and energy, to care for and ride 2 horses is challenging– I’m not getting any younger. This is why I’m taking this difficult decision to sell her. I would really like her to find her next best friend who will care for her as I have. Would suit teenager or mother/ daughter share.
