Description: Scatty 15’2 8 years old Bay gelding Passport name Highland Light. Looking for a new home due to rider living away at college she no longer has the time for him. Looking for a 5* home only. We have had scatty for 3 years and done a bit of everything with him with a main focus on showjumping and dressage. Scatty is laid back and sensible however he can live up to his name at times, he has many quirks that come with him being a thoroughbred, he would suit a confident rider. I am looking for someone who wants to have a main focus on dressage but will do a few unaffiliated sj competitions as he does love his jumping and likes to do different things from time to time, he would be happy jumping up to 70/80cm. He’s very good to do on the ground. Good for farrier, clipping, vet and to catch/tack up. Scatty is great with traffic, wagons and tractors fine but he will only hack out in company. He will hack out perfectly with another horse being in front or behind. Scatty’s been apart of riding club, British show jumping and Academy teams. He’s done prelim and novice dressage tests scoring high twenties to low thirties, always a favourite for the judges as he’s a very handsome boy, with more time schooling he could definitely become affiliated with dressage as he has all the basics and gets good scores in the unaffiliated tests we’ve done. I’ve jumped him up to novice 90cm in British showjumping. Always a speedy round with amazing scope. He has just unfortunately lost his love for competitive jumping. Eligible for ROR. He has had a kissing spine surgery last year but he has fully recovered and been in work all of this year. We have mainly been schooling/hacking as we have brought him back into sj but he’s just not found the love for it as he once had. More than welcome to have him vetted.
