- 11 yrs, 16.2hh Bay ID mare
A very affectionate, kind mare looking for a riding club type home. A very versatile mare that would do well in all disciplines, dressage/hunting/jumping, all riding club activities.
Lilly has been in the same home for the last 3yrs and has been extremely well looked after and loved. During that time she has attended vast amounts of clinics pole/flat/dressage/jump/arena hires. She is extremely good to take out by herself or on a lorry full of other horses. She is quiet and polite on the ground, extremely well behaved to deal with, great to clip, for the farrier and loads on a trailer or lorry.
Lilly has 3 lovely paces and carries herself well, with a real spring to her step. She is very straightforward to ride. She has established lateral work and a very good medium trot. She has been placed at unaffiliated dressage competitions, both prelim and novice and always scores very well.
She is a very careful jumper, this is something she enjoys and would like to continue doing in her new home. She has been xc schooling whilst with us and recently taken part in a Hunter trial.
She hacks alone and in company and is very sane and sensible. She’ll happily go at the front or back when out in groups. She can have the odd small spook when in a new arena for the first time but isn’t a problem for a competent rider. She is good with most traffic but is nervous with lorries and tractors, she takes confidence from her rider when in these situations.
She has hunted with a previous owner and I’m sure she would enjoy being back on the hunting field.
Very sad sale of a really sweet girl, through no fault of her own.
