- We are looking for a loan home for our beloved pony Star. She is a forward pony and not a novice ride, but great fun with the right jockey! Best suited to a confident child aged 10 years or older or a small lightweight teenager. She has done all pony club activities with my son but particularly enjoys showjumping. She is happiest jumping at 80-85cm. She hacks out alone and in company. She can be quite strong - she rides like a horse rather than a pony and she likes to get on with things! She has been out of competitive work since the end of 2023 when my son grew too big for her, and has mostly been hacking, but I would love to find her a new young person to have fun with. A good home is really important as she is very special to us. However she is quirky so I need to find the right rider for her. She was a fantastic pony for my son between the ages of 10-13 and they had lots of fun being competitive at unaffiliated and pony club level showjumping. We are based near Newbury.
