- Rose is a high quality, striking 17hh Oldenburg Mare by Rosengold (Old). She has just turned 13 but due to lack of use in COVID and current owner’s time constraints is low mileage. Competed at Prelim dressage, schooling at Novice with potential to do more. Competed and placed combined training and unaffiliated show jumping up to 80cm, with far more scope. Rose has beautiful movement and balanced jump, never refusing a fence. Rose has not fulfilled her potential with her current owner due to lack of time and the owner’s limitations. She has been well schooled in the past and has the potential to do more. Rose has done British Dressage and has a few points but hasn't done a great deal so would be able to compete well at lower levels. She has attended regular riding club events and camps where she has completed all activities and cross-country schooling. She is easy to have at a competition. Rose hacks best in company and has completed fun rides and riding holidays. She will hack alone but isn't confident and takes the confidence from the rider. For this reason we feel she isn’t suitable for a novice rider. Se doesn’t have any vices and is very easy to deal with on the ground. She’s good to shoe, box, clip, catch etc and passed a 5 stage vetting 3 years ago with current owner and had regular physio and is up to date with teeth and vaccinators. She is open to any additional vetting. We think she is best suited to a competent rider and could really excel in the dressage arena up the levels or a very smart riding club horse for someone looking to do a bit of everything. The owner is asking £12,500 and the right home is of upmost importance as this is a reluctant sale only due to owner’s new job meaning she doesn’t have the time that Rose needs and deserves. Tack and rugs available by separate negotiation. She is based near Cullompton (15mins from J27 of the M5).
