Description
This super pony is still looking for his next home. We have owned him for nearly 5 years and he has been ridden by my daughter since she was 7. They have mostly show jumped, he has taken her from 40 cm up to 70 cm, they have had great success riding for pony club and NSEA, competing at Hickstead NSEA champs in 2022. He is very forgiving, mostly being pulled out of the field for a competition then performing beautifully. He has been active in the pony club, lots of rallies, show jumping, 3 times at camp. An ex BS pony, he really knows his stuff show jumping and is very competitive, he has speed and a long pace. He is great on the road with traffic and general hacking, he likes to be up front in canter. We have never hunted him so I don’t know how he would behave. He has a fantastic personality, he is confident, forward and really fun, you have to be careful tying him up as he knows how to untie the rope! Perfect to clip, shoe, groom, have teeth done, catch and load. He is very used to children, dogs, cats and general chaotic family life – fancy dress, round the world and being leapt on and off. He loves a cuddle and a scratch and will stand very patiently for children to groom and pamper him. Up to date with vaccines, teeth, worming and recently shod - he has front shoes. Sale includes tack and rugs. He needs a strong and confident rider as he has got multiple gears and could frighten a nervous rider. He was sold in September 24 and came back a month later as he had started bucking which he had never done before, he had been in a field unridden for 9 months and I think they tried to do too much too fast. I had our McTimoney Chiropractor to see him as soon as he came back and we discovered he was really sore in the muscles behind the saddle towards his bum, a few treatments later and he was fine, he went straight out on loan to a family in our Pony Club for a 8 yr girl who's pony had to have 3 months off after an op. she really enjoyed him and was flying with him until he started bucking again in January, we had him treated by the same chiropractor and no more bucking. Their 12 yr old son was riding him too and absolutely loved him, the girls pony came back into work so he has come back to us. He is a very competitive, really wicked pony. He will win show jumping competitions with the right jockey and fly round xc courses, I wish I could keep him but i don't have a jockey for him at the moment. The chiropractor thinks he has a bit of age related arthritis which is very easily managed with treatments every 8 weeks. I am open to allowing a trial period, the right home and jockey is most important to me.
