- Description
- Cookie, is a 12.2 Welsh cross. He is approx 12-14 years, exact age unknown as he is on a replacement passport. I have more photos and videos that I can supply.
We bought him from a dealer 3 years ago who was using him for riding lessons in their riding school. We have mainly used him as a lead rein pony for our 2 girls and he has been super, would trust him 100%. We have used him in our arena and also taken him along our farm track.
He does not bother about farm machinery, tractors, quads, dogs or even Highland cows.
He is barefoot and is no bother for the farrier. He is up to date with all his vaccinations and worming.
He would come with all his rugs and tack which we bought for him and fitted for him.
Things to be aware of, he can only see out of one eye which relates back to before we bought him. This does not seem to impede him in anyway.
He would prefer company and can be anxious to be left on his own. He is ok if he knows his friend his coming back.
It would be best to keep him with geldings. He can live with mares but would need to be separated from them when they are season. He is not a rig as we had him tested but he still behaves like a stallion when they are in season and can be a pest.
He has a dust allergy, fine in the summer. We had him living out 24/7 in the summer but stable him now we are into winter. He could probably live out all year round. We found less dusty hay, soaked hay or haylage helped manage his condition.
He is such a great little pony and we would love to find him a great home. We are sorry to be selling him but our girls have lost interest and we have less and less time for the horses.
We are also selling his friend who is a 14.2 Connemara and will do a separate advert for him. Both available together or separately.
