Roo is the friendliest chap on the yard and he can’t wait for his next family to love and pamper him as much as he deserves.
Roo loves a fuss, he is good to stand and be groomed, stands like a statue to clip. Roo is good to turn out and catch, he’ll go out alone or with others, he’s very friendly! Roo is good for the farrier. He is good to travel, has been known to stand at the bottom of the ramp to load but he has not done that here with us. We have loaded him in 7.5 tonne lorry and a trailer absolutely fine.
Ridden wise Roo is snaffle mouthed in all aspects, with good breaks! Not strong or silly. He has nice uphill paces, waits for your aids but is responsive, you can wind him up and make him fizzy, but is also quite happy to plod around quietly. To jump he is brave, not spooky and takes a miss very well. Jumped NSEA this summer with a 14 year old girl. Has been xc country schooling with us and was very good.
Roo had his stifles injected by his owners in August 2024 to help with his schooling. Vet report available for this. Roo wouldn’t pass a vetting, he is not 100% trotting on the hard on the lunge. Videos available of this as well as trotting on hard and lunging on soft. Roo has been thoroughly tried and tested by us and is more than suitable for a low level all rounder home. Price reflects this or you’d be adding £10k to the price!
This is a very sad sale of a much loved horse. Priced to sell before Christmas. Transport available at cost.
