- Unfortunately we have made the heartbreaking decision to look for Gunners next forever home. Gunner is one of the very rare top class competition ponies with absolutely 0 quirks. He has previously evented up to FEI 2* in Ireland and is now best suited for someone wanting to event up to 100 and showjump to 100/110. He is a winning machine all the way up to 1.10, he knows where to put his feet and very, very rarely touches a pole! Turns on a sixpence and is very adjustable! WON the pony club showjumping national championships in 2021 jumping triple clear. He knows all the moves inside out for dressage and is very obedient and often scores in the high 20s/low 30s. He is the BEST pony to take out cross country, he looks for the flags and makes the time easily. He will pull you into the fences but will come back when asked. He is reliable and consistent across all disciplines therefore is always the first to be picked for the teams. He is very sane and never gets hot or silly! He enjoys pony club camp, hacking, rallies etc! He stands at the lorry all day long (this is great when you want to mooch around the shops at the big shows!) and is just a pleasure to handle on the ground. You can take him out on his own or with 10 others and he will be the same. 100% to do in every way. There really is not one bad word to say about him. He would suit an established, quiet jockey wanting to move up the levels and have lots of fun. He is happy to step down a level for someone. He knows his job inside out and will teach them where all the buttons are. We have been so tempted to keep him as we know we won’t ever find another like him, but it just seems selfish when he has so much to teach someone else and rider has moved onto horses.
