Description
Tomato Talented , Flashy Welsh Part bred, Future top class Show / WHP or equally an Allrounder / PC Pony. Approx 133cm ( may be slightly bigger ) 2019 Gelding, By the Menai Stud . A real head turner wherever he goes, everyone falls in love with him. He has a beautiful character and is a joy to work with on the ground and ridden. Sire : Menai Calon Lan - a HOYS finalist under saddle and sire of numerous champions both in hand and under saddle Dam : Menai Miss Boots - A well bred show jumping mare. Tomato was backed early this year, he is soft in the mouth and carries himself well, working in a correct and consistent outline. Jumping he is proving brave, honest and careful with a great technique, and not spooky to a fence. He loves his job and will take his rider to the fence without getting strong or fizzy, Equally happy to trot on a loose rein into a jump without towing you in. He has been out and about to a few shows, dressage and jumping - always receiving nice comments due to his presence and attitude: Tomato is unfortunately just too much pony for the young rider he was intended for. Not his fault, he’s just a lot of pony for a young child, and he’s still young himself. Petite mother has been schooling and hacking him out over the summer holidays and adores him - he’s proving a fun, near unflappable ride - good in all traffic , goes alone or in company, even nannying the big Warmbloods twice his age. Good in traffic, to load, travel, catch & with farrier etc. A very sweet loveable character, everyone’s favourite! He has real potential to go far in any sphere in the right hands. Can be handled and lead by small children , extrememly polite to do everything with. A really exciting talented little pony. Up to date with vaccination, barefoot , happy living in or out. No known vices. Passed a 5 stage vetting earlier this year. He would be ideal for a competent and confident older child looking for a competitive second pony/ or even a small adult to produce and have fun with. He takes up the leg very well. Ready to get straight out and about to shows, pony trials, hunting etc. No novices please or anyone looking for a first ridden - there’s no malice in this pony at all but he doesnt appreciate an unbalanced rider or a big “ Pony Club Kick” in the ribs. He’s a well schooled, tuned up pony thats been produced with a big future in mind. More pictures / videos available
