My daughter bought Harvey as a foal at the Shetland Pony Sales in Shetland. Harvey is a lovely black standard Shetland and he has been consistently shown inhand in Shetland, always in the rosettes he has been gently backed this year and is now going away well under saddle, jumping and hacking out alone and in company, lunges and he long reins in traffic and over obstacles. Harvey is a very sweet boy who will stand to be groomed all day, he is not phased by anything, my daughter has put a huge amount of time into him, in hand before she backed him. He is easy to do in all ways, he was clipped this year he stood like a little pro, he has front shoes on and was good for the farrier, self loads into horsebox, stock box will back out happily, good with Vet he is up to date with all vaccinations Lives out but would happily live in. Really super easy keeper. Was rugged after being clipped. Loves to be in work and takes everything in super fast learner, he can also can be left and picked back up again. He is now very ready to go and start his career with a little jockey and or as a ride and drive pony. He has so far been to one show as a ridden pony in a lead rein class where he came third in a big class, he behaved like a perfect gentleman looking after his little 8yr old jockey, then went on to come third in the young handlers. He is entered in 2 more shows in Shetland as a ridden pony. He shares a park with horses and Shetland colt yearlings, he gets along with all of them, he’s very laid back even with all the shenanigans the colts get up to. He was bought as a project for my daughter to sell once he was backed, she has put a huge amount of time and effort into him since he was a foal and it really shows in him now. We are finding this a tough sale as he is very much part of our family. But he needs to start his career which is what we always planned for him. He will only go to the best of homes. He is based in based in Shetland and can be delivered to the docks in Aberdeen. We have lots of photos and videos of him and are happy to do FaceTime with any potential buyers.
