- Our client, Horwood Coombe Inspire Ltd, are looking for a confident capable rider/groom to join their team to work in an ABRS and TDC Licensed Equine Centre with 8 horses and other animals to help support the development of Young People. At Horwood Coombe we seek to connect young people with nature to create a platform to grow from. As our ideal candidate you must be able to work independently and be able to handle a variety of horses and ponies including school masters, hunt horses, competition horses & young stock. You will be highly competent and able to lunge, long rein, hack, accompany rides, ride & lead in order to help support young people develop their riding skills. Your role as rider/groom with involve maintaining a clean and organised stable environment and perform all necessary yard and field work to ensure the upkeep of the Equestrian Centre. You will also support our students in their equine learning activities on a 1:2:1 basis, full training will be given. A background/knowledge of working with children with additional requirements is desirable but not essential Hours will vary depending on seasons and requirements but generally include 08:00 to 16:00 plus a half day at the weekend in lieu of an afternoon off through the week. Onsite, single, accommodation may be available for the right candidate plus stabling for own horse.
