Description: ‘Galaktika’ (Galaxy/Swarovski/Rubinstein) Galaktika would be the perfect addition to anyone’s yard. She is always so consistent in temperament, you can absolutely count on her to be keen and positive in every situation. She has been ridden since last July and is completely straight forward in every aspect. She can be tied up on the yard with no fuss, feet picked, hosed, brushed or just left on her own and she will wait happily. In regards to daily handling she would easily pass as an 8yo. She has been ridden indoors and outdoors with no spookyness. She can be ridden straight out of the stable, walked on the buckle and worked in all 3 gaits with no problems. She is easy in the rein and naturally wants to work in a frame, she thinks forward and moves nicely off the leg but she isn’t precious and wouldn’t be upset by mistakes or a wobble. Her walk shows huge over track and impressive relaxation for her level of training, the trot has a rhythm that never faulters with an active hind-leg that will definitely facilitate some very expressive extensions in the future. Her canter is a highlight, being incredibly uphill, and will only get better as she strengthens and receives more training. Currently she is ridden 3 days a week very lightly, she is so easy so we haven’t felt the need to do more. She is just starting to learn the beginnings of lateral work and has picked it up so easily. We feel that with the right rider she could definitely compete in the age classes all the way through. She has been shod in front since she was backed in July and is completely easy for the farrier. Her teeth have recently been done with no problems and the physio has also checked her over with no findings. She shows absolutely no mare-ish behaviour- she very happily goes in the field with a gelding, can be left in the yard on her own and can be taken away from the others without a peep, she quite honestly couldn’t be easier! Galaktika’s sire, Galaxy has competed successfully up to Inter 1, his pedigree includes numerous successful stallions and Grand Prix horses such as Sir Sinclair, Apache and Grand Galaxy Win. Galaktika’s damline introduced some more German blood, including Sandro Hit and Rubinstein. She would be a very interesting mare to do embryo transfer with due to her great breeding and temperament.
